TNT - Not delivered on time

Recently I booked with TNT the service called: TNT UK - Saturday delivery service for consignments collection on Friday. The goods were collected and everything was fine until Saturday morning till 10:00 am. My customer alarmed me that while tracking the parcel and calling the depot they got an info that their parcel is not going to be delivered on Saturday due to a mistake made and the parcel was not loaded on the right truck and would be delivered on Monday. I would like to point at the fact that this service cost more and my customer needed these goods for Saturday event. Also the Saturday service guarantees the delivery before 12:00 noon. I needed to locate the parcel myself and was forced to send my customer to collect the parcel from their nearest depot. I run a company and my priority is the customer service. Not having the parcel delivered has got a very negative impact on the company reliability and causes usually the loss of the customer. I am happy to provide more information about the number of the consignment for the TNT customer service purposes. I just wonder if any of TNT employees would contact me and offer a refund for the missed delivery or would show any sign of interest to investigate. But on the other hand I very much doubt it. Anyway I wanted you all to know how reliable(not) and trustworthy(not) the offered service of the big shipper could be?

Case has been marked as 'not required response from the Company' and it will not have any action. As the Receiver did not have a chance to respond the result of the case is unknown.

I have had this problem in the past also and with the same excuse, mybe its part of there training of acceptable excuses.
