Have you ever used BritishGas services? I have, even if I did not asked for that at all. Once upon the time I was living in a rented flat and I have chosen Southern Electric as my supplier of electricity . They supplied an electricity for about 2 years to my flat and what a surprise I had when I suddenly received a letter from them saying that 'they are sorry I want to leave them'. After a short conversation with a call centre I discovered that I was switched to British Gas. I did not of course, and because of 'my switching' my account with SE was due to be closed. I had to open another account loosing my special discount and carried forward bonuses. I think it is BritishGas common practise used to try to get more customers. They sign you up without any knowledge and only find out when the battle starts. I was trying to get more information from British Gas who allowed that transfer and where is my written or recorded consent to do it. They were unable to prove anything but still they started charging me for electricity. So I ended up with two bills one from SElectric, as it should be, and another from British Gas. It took an enormous amount of time to sort that out and now I am with SE again. NEVER EVER switch to British Gas as their customer service number rarely responds and their pushy salesmen will switch your supplier to them without your knowledge about it. What I realy need to know are: 1. why the number 0845 955 5300 is the only one supplied and it costs much more while calling from mobile. 2. why do I have to wait so long for a assistance while calling (few times I needed to leave a message and no-one called me back) 3. why is it so difficult to display your Customer Service email so people could have in writting the proof of the case

The case has NOT been resolved.

I am not able to get any response from Company.

So BritishGas is not even interested in denying or confirming their practice.What a shame. Well, not much left but warn you again NOT TO GO FOR THEIR SERVICES but on the other hand it does not matter they will do it to you without your consent.
